Challenges to the cult Leader are a serious matter. Since the cult doctrine is Absolute Truth, no dissent can be tolerated. Uniformity of opinion is necessary for any religious community. Misbehavior can be treated with electroshock techniques, beatings, humiliation, isolation, damnation, revoking of privileges (especially sex), and threatening family/children. 
All disciples must know that you are God’s agent and that they are simply pawns working to enact His plan. Any deviation is in direct opposition to God’s Plan and thus punishable by any means necessary. Regular confessions are useful in encouraging a productive milieu of collective guilt. The notion is Sin is a great control mechanism in which believers, in their quest for purity, will come crawling to you for absolution. Members should be taught to spy on each other and report infractions. This will enhance the ambient guilt and paranoia.
The ideas and rules of the cult must be inculcated through repetitive rituals such as chanting, praying, singing, and/or humming. Music is a great way to enforce community spirit, have fun, and program disciples with dogma.
Note the use by Manson, Koresh, the Hare Krishna's, evangelical revivalists, and heavy metal ideologues. Music and prayer and best conducted in a "sacred" language, one that takes on mystical significance because only the elite can understand it. Successful groups have used Latin, Hebrew, Aramaic, Enochian, and Runic to give themselves a aura of antiquity, wisdom, and obscurity.
