We are a non-profit, apolitical organization dedicated to unbiased research and education about the American theological underground. Through publications, seminars, and research grants, we have been opening the lines of communication between non-normative religious organizations ("cults") and mainstream ideologies.
C.A.N.T. is dedicated to the objective study of cult behavior and ideology without making agenda-based judgments stemming from accepted religious belief. Our findings are disseminated freely to the public to allow people their own conclusions. We also actively seek to empower fringe groups and individuals to overcome the constraints of normative religous ideology and the econosocial taboos limiting healthy, organic eschatological creativity. Unfettered by financial subservience and the need to calm public opprobrium, we fearlessly expose the true cultic nature of "accepted" constructs, while simultaneously supporting the constitional rights of non-traditional off-shoots. |
